Venues and venue areas

Venues are stored in the club's shared venue list, and for each tournament you choose which of them are used. A venue area tells which venues are in the same place.

Pages: Venues & referees · Venues

The club's venues

The club's venues are in the Venues & referees section of the club page. Add a venue with its name and address under Add a venue. Once a venue has coordinates, it is shown on the public page map. Venues are also available in later tournaments.

You can add the venues of a known area with coordinates in one go under Add a ready-made venue area with coordinates. Venues typed in the guided setup are saved to the same list.

Tournament venues and times

  1. Open the tournament's Venues page.
  2. Select the venues used in this tournament and press Save selection.
  3. Under Venue times and formats you can give a venue its own times and game format. You can add several times for one venue with Add a time.
  4. Save the table with Save all changes.

A venue without its own times is available for the whole playing time of the tournament. The playing time is set on the Basics page.

Shared venues and division venues

If a large venue is split for small-sided games, add each part as its own venue, for example Kartano TN1 A and Kartano TN1 B, and give each its own game format and times. If a division may only play on certain venues, choose them under Allowed venues on the division page.

Venue areas

When venues are in different places, for example Käpylä and Pirkkola, give each venue an area in the Venue area (optional) column of the club's venue list. Automatic scheduling then tries to keep a team's matches on the same day in the same area. The public page map lets visitors pick an area, and a referee sees a warning if the next match is in another area soon after the previous one.

If all venues are in the same place, no area is needed.

Changes after the schedule is made

You can change the venue selection and times at any time. If the match schedule has already been made, check the Match grid after a change. A new venue name shows at once in the match schedule, on the public page and on the venue signs.
