Guide 1/10
Creating a tournament
A new tournament is created with the guided setup. The tournament stays a draft until you publish it, so you can prepare everything at your own pace.
Pages: Tournaments · Next steps · Overview
Start the guided setup
- Open your club's page and its Tournaments section.
- Press Create a new tournament (guided).
- Go through the six steps. Continue saves the draft at every step, and Save and continue later lets you carry on another time.
The tournament is created only in the last step. You can edit everything afterwards.
The setup steps
- Goal and size: name, sport, dates and town. If you do not know how many teams fit, open I do not know — work out how many teams fit.
- Divisions: for example P10 and T12. Only the division name is required; the rest get default values.
- Venues and playing times: venues one per line and the playing time. If the venues are in different places, also enter the venue areas.
- Does this fit?: the service checks whether the matches fit the venues and playing time, and suggests fixes.
- Registration and public page: contact details, introduction and registration deadline. Also choose whether registration opens straight away.
- Summary and creation: check the details and press Create tournament.
From draft onwards
After creation the Next steps page opens. It has eight steps from the basics to the tournament day, and each shows what is still to do. An unfinished tournament also opens on this page from your club's page.
A draft is not shown in the tournament calendar, and nobody but your club users can see its public page. If you opened registration, the registration link already works in the draft. Publishing is covered in the guide Publishing and sharing.
Not every tool is shown at first
The menu of a small tournament first shows only the basic tools. Other pages, such as Referees and Billing, appear with Show all tools at the end of the menu. You can also change the menu in the More settings section of the Basics page (Admin level).
